Following Government Legislation being published Parish Councils are now able to hold virtual meetings to undertake the required business of the Council.
Barnham and Eastergate Parish Council has now installed the necessary software and undertaken Councillor training and will be holding the first virtual meeting of the Full Council on Tuesday 26th May at 7.30 p.m.
The agenda will be published on this site next week and notices will be put up around the Parish and members of the public who wish to participate will be able to obtain a telephone number and code to dial into to participate or listen to the meeting.
As Chair of Barnham and Eastergate Parish Council I wanted to let you know that we are here to support local people during this unprecedented crisis. We now have a list of 40 trusted volunteers and have set up two helpline numbers that can be called if you are in need of neighbourly assistance. A leaflet was delivered to all homes in the Parish last weekend with that information and since that time many calls have been received. We have also put together an emergency procedure document to give you information on how the Council and Councillors and staff and the Community Facilities and their staff will operate during this period. We will continue to update and put up additional information as and when it is necessary. Our newsfeed will be updated with messages and information from other sources so check in regularly for those updates.
