Highways England will be carrying out the removal and replacement of the four hazard markers with safety compliant markers at the crossing point on the A27 to Nyton Road (B2233).
In order to carry out these works as efficiently and as safely as possible, work will be carried out under simultaneous lane 2 closures on both the east and westbound carriageways and the closure of the crossing point. The works are to be carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am from Wednesday 13 November 2019 to Wednesday 20 November 2019. The works are weather dependent and weekend working may be used as a contingency.
Diversions: A clearly signed diversion will be in place during all closures utilising local routes, suitable for all types of vehicles when full closures of the carriageway crossing point is in place.
Crossing Point Closure Diversion: Traffic travelling eastbound on the A27 wishing to use the right turn gap for the B2233, Nyton Road will continue east on the A27 to Fontwell West Roundabout where they can turn around and travel west back on the A27 towards Nyton road.
