The Recycling and Waste Team at West Sussex County Council has collaborated with UKHarvest, a food rescue charity, to host seven Community Food Hubs. The hubs run once a month across West Sussex and for a small voluntary donation, residents can bring their own bags and collect a wide selection of surplus food that would have otherwise gone to waste. 

The child-friendly Community Food Hubs are open to all residents and aim to reduce food waste. In addition to food distribution, the hubs provide recipes and host information stands covering various topics, including waste prevention, wellbeing, and Citizens Advice.

Details of the Community Food Hub for Bognor Regis are:

Location: Bognor Youth and Community Centre, Westloats Lane, Bognor Regis, PO21 5JZ

Dates: First Wednesday of the month, except for 30^th April 2025 and 29^th April 2026:

Time: 10.00am to 11.00am

Details of the Community Food Hub for Worthing are:

Location: Sidney Walter Centre, Sussex Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1DS

Dates: Third Thursday of every month

Time: 10.00am to 11.00am

Details of the Community Food Hub for Chichester are:

Location: Sylvia Beaufoy Centre, Midhurst Road, Petworth, GU28 0ET

Dates: First Thursday of the month 

Time: 10.00am to 11.00am
