Council Tax bills are arriving across the district, and many people are surprised to learn where their money actually goes.
Arun District Council keeps only a small share of the Council Tax you pay. Most of it is passed on to West Sussex County Council, Sussex Police, and your town or parish council.
For a Band D household in 2026/27, Arun keeps just £221.04 for the whole year to deliver the services we’re responsible for.

The Arun Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) is marking its first year since launching in March 2025.
Over the past year, teamwork between local businesses, Sussex Police and town centre partners has helped make Bognor Regis and Littlehampton safer and more welcoming.
A key achievement has been bringing both towns together under one reporting system, DISC. Businesses have been crucial in reporting incidents, sharing information and completing DISC training, which has led to quicker and clearer communication.
